Terms & Conditions

These terms set out how we work together — how we quote, clean, and take payment. They're written to be fair and clear, so there are no surprises for either of us.

These Terms & Conditions apply to the services provided by JWF Window Cleaning ("we", "us", "our") to you, the customer. By booking or accepting our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Our services

We provide window cleaning and exterior cleaning services, which may include window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, roof cleaning, solar panel cleaning, and uPVC, fascia and soffit cleaning, for domestic and commercial customers across Lancashire and the North West. The specific services to be provided will be agreed with you when you book.

2. Quotes & pricing

  • Quotes are based on the information you give us and, where relevant, what we see on a site visit. If the job turns out to be significantly different from what was described, we may need to adjust the price — we'll always agree any change with you first.
  • Prices for one-off and additional services (such as gutters, roofs or pressure washing) are quoted per job.
  • We may review the price of a regular round from time to time. We'll give you reasonable notice of any change before your next clean.
  • All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

3. Bookings & regular rounds

  • Regular window cleaning is provided on an agreed frequency (for example every four or eight weeks). There is no fixed-term contract for domestic rounds — you can stop at any time by letting us know (see Cancellations below).
  • We'll usually let you know in advance — by text or message — the day before we're due, so you can make sure we have access.
  • We aim to keep to your scheduled date but can't guarantee an exact day or time, as rounds can shift due to weather, staffing or other factors outside our control.

4. Access to your property

  • Please make sure we can safely access all areas to be cleaned — for example, that side gates are unlocked, vehicles are moved if needed, and pets are kept indoors.
  • If we arrive as scheduled and can't gain access through no fault of ours, we may treat the clean as carried out and charge for it, or rearrange it — we'll be reasonable and use our judgement.
  • If you know you won't be able to provide access for a particular visit, please let us know in advance so we can reschedule (see Cancellations).

5. Cancellations & skipped cleans

  • To skip a clean or cancel a regular round, please let us know by 6pm the day before your scheduled visit. This lets us plan the round efficiently.
  • If you skip cleans repeatedly or without notice, we may remove you from the regular round.
  • For booked one-off jobs (such as gutter or roof cleaning), please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange.

6. Payment

  • Payment is due on completion of each clean, and in any case within 3 days of the work being carried out, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
  • Our preferred payment method is Direct Debit via GoCardless, which collects payment automatically after each clean. Setting this up makes payment simple and means you don't need to be home.
  • We may also accept bank transfer or card payment where arranged.
  • If payment isn't received, we may pause your service and, for persistent non-payment, may recover the debt and reasonable costs.

7. Weather

We work in most weather. Our pure-water cleaning system means light rain does not streak freshly cleaned windows, so a damp day doesn't usually mean a cancelled clean. We will not work where conditions make it unsafe (for example high winds, ice or storms) and will reschedule those visits as soon as we can.

8. Liability & insurance

  • We are fully insured and carry £5 million public liability cover. A certificate is available on request.
  • We take care on every job, but we ask that any pre-existing damage — such as loose or rotten frames, cracked glass, or insecure fittings — is pointed out to us beforehand, as we can't be held responsible for faults that already exist.
  • We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our negligence. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law.
  • To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Commercial contracts

Commercial work may be governed by a separate written agreement covering scope, frequency, pricing, method statements and risk assessments (RAMS), and invoicing terms. Where a separate commercial agreement is in place, it takes precedence over these terms to the extent of any conflict.

10. Complaints

If something isn't right, please tell us as soon as possible using the contact details below and we'll do our best to resolve it quickly and fairly.

11. General & governing law

  • We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time of your booking applies.
  • If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
