UPVC, fascia & soffit cleaning

UPVC, fascia & soffit cleaning across Lancashire.

White UPVC doesn't stay white. Fascias, soffits, frames, cladding and conservatories all go grey and green with algae, traffic film and red mite. JWF brings them back to bright white — fascia, soffit and UPVC cleaning for homes and businesses across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and Cheshire. Same family firm, on the road since 2011.

UPVC cleaning

From grey and grimy to bright white again.

UPVC is brilliant when it's new and miserable when it's neglected. Over a few years the white dulls to grey, green algae creeps along the soffits, and that gritty orange-brown speckling — red mite and traffic film — works into the surface. Most people assume it's faded for good and start pricing up replacements. It usually isn't.

We deep-clean UPVC with the right cleaners and a soft brush, lifting the grime out of the texture rather than just wiping the top. Fascias, soffits, window frames, door surrounds, cladding and conservatory panels all come back to the colour they were the day they went up — for a fraction of what replacing them would cost.

Every clean includes

  • Fascias and soffits washed back to white
  • UPVC window frames, sills and door surrounds cleaned
  • Algae, traffic film and red mite lifted from the texture
  • Cladding and conservatory panels brought back to colour
  • Worked from the ground with reach poles — no ladders
  • Fixed price agreed before we start — no surprises

What is fascia cleaning?

Cleaned, not replaced.

Fascia cleaning is exactly what it sounds like: deep-cleaning the white boards that run along the roofline — the fascias — and the panels tucked underneath them, the soffits. They're the bits that go green and grey first because they're shaded, rarely rinsed by rain, and right in the firing line of everything washing off the roof.

Replacing a full set of fascias and soffits runs into four figures. A clean costs a small fraction of that and gets you 90% of the visual difference. Unless the boards are physically damaged or rotten, cleaning is almost always the smarter call — and we'll tell you honestly if we think they're past it.

Fascia & soffit cleaning

The boards and panels along your roofline — washed back to white from the ground.

UPVC window frames

Frames, sills and door surrounds cleaned alongside the glass on a window round.

Cladding cleaning

UPVC and composite wall cladding, domestic and commercial, brought back to colour.

Conservatory cleaning

Conservatory frames, panels and the roof — inside and out — cleaned together.

Conservatory roof cleaning

Glass and polycarbonate roofs cleared of algae, moss and the green film that builds up.

Doors & porches

UPVC doors, porches and canopies — the high-touch bits that show the dirt most.

UPVC cleaning prices

How much does fascia & soffit cleaning cost?

Priced per property, not per hour — it depends on the size of the house and how much there is to clean. We confirm a fixed price before we start. As a guide:

Guide prices only — your exact price is confirmed before any work starts. Doing the fascias with a gutter clean or window round at the same time usually works out cheaper than a separate visit.

Gutter, fascia & soffit together

Do the whole roofline in one go.

The gutter, the fascia and the soffit all sit in the same strip along the top of the wall — so it makes sense to clean them together. We clear the gutter, then wash the fascias and soffits while we're set up, and the whole roofline comes up clean in a single visit. It's the most popular combination we book, and it works out cheaper than two trips.

Commercial cladding cleaning

Commercial cladding & UPVC cleaning.

01 / Who we clean for

Frontage that looks looked-after.

Stained cladding and grimy fascias make a building look neglected before anyone's through the door. We clean UPVC and composite cladding, fascias, soffits and frames on retail units, offices, schools and industrial premises across the North West — scheduled around your opening hours.

We work from the ground with reach poles wherever possible, supply method statements and our insurance certificate before any contract starts, and can set up a regular schedule to keep the frontage looking sharp year-round.

FAQs

UPVC & fascia cleaning questions, answered.

How much does fascia and soffit cleaning cost?

For most homes, fascia and soffit cleaning starts around £80 for a terrace or small semi, £100–£150 for a semi, and £150–£250 for a detached property. Conservatory cleans are £80–£180 depending on size. You always get a fixed price before any work starts — never an hourly rate.

What is fascia and soffit cleaning?

Fascias are the white boards running along the roofline; soffits are the panels tucked underneath them. They go green and grey first because they're shaded and rarely rinsed by rain. Cleaning deep-washes them back to white — a fraction of the cost of replacing them, and almost always the smarter option unless they're physically damaged.

Can greyed UPVC really be brought back to white?

In most cases, yes. The grey and green is grime, algae and traffic film sitting in the texture of the plastic, not the plastic itself fading. The right cleaners and a soft brush lift it out and restore the original white. If a board is genuinely oxidised or damaged we'll tell you straight, rather than charge for a clean that won't work.

Do you clean conservatory roofs as well as the frames?

Yes. We clean the full conservatory — frames, panels and the roof, inside and out where needed. Glass and polycarbonate roofs collect algae and a green film that a normal wipe won't shift, so they're cleaned as part of the job.

How do I open UPVC windows to clean them?

Most UPVC windows open fully on a friction hinge, and many have a small "egress" or "easy-clean" catch on the hinge arm that lets the sash swing right open so you can reach the outside from inside. That helps for the glass — but for frames, fascias and soffits at height, ground-based reach-pole cleaning is safer and gets a better, more even result.

How often should I clean my UPVC and fascias?

Once a year keeps fascias, soffits and cladding from building up heavy algae, especially on shaded, north-facing elevations. UPVC window frames stay cleaner if they're wiped as part of a regular window round, which most of our customers add on.
